Fighting Prostate Cancer
Founded in 2008, the mission of Integrated Medical Foundation is to raise awareness and support for prostate cancer through educational and community outreach. IMF provides free educational and outreach programs, as well as free prostate cancer screenings and support groups consistent with the healthcare needs of the community. Prostate cancer is easily treated if detected early; 230,000 men are diagnosed annually and one out of every six of our fathers, brothers, sons, neighbors, etc. will be diagnosed in their lifetime.

- Prostate cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer among men
- Nearly 30,000 men will die from prostate cancer in 2011
- One in six men will get prostate cancer in his lifetime
- African American men are two-and-a-half times more likely to have prostate cancer
- A relative who has had prostate cancer doubles your risk
- The five-year-survival rate for prostate cancer is 99 percent if caught before it spreads beyond the prostate
